Famous Nissan GT-R Replica Sold on eBay for $30k

If you've seen the Fast and Furious films, you know that they inspire a cult following- despite the fact that they aren't very critically acclaimed. The films have launched actors like Paul Walker, and the sporty vehicles in the films have garnered quite a following as well. Recently, a replica of one of the cars from the film, the legendary R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R, which is similar to the 2012 Nissan GT-R Coupe, was sold on online marketplace eBay for $30k. The R34 precedes the current Nissan R35 supercar, which will be sold around the globe as a 2013 model.
The replica Nissan model was actually used in the filming of Fast and Furious 4 and was one of six Bayside Blue models, noticeably fake due to its pumped-up fenders. Despite being a suped-up Nissan GT-T instead of the GT-R, the 1998 model with nearly 67k miles was upped in price due to its famous history. It didn't, however, make it up to the "Buy It Now" price of $39,999. Still, $30k for a model that's over a decade old is impressive. The GT-T came with a turbocharged 2.5-liter straight-6 engine that achieved the stock 280 hp that is sent straight to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. It also came with the standard Japanese right-hand drive configuration and a California title. This was important because it's nearly impossible to find a GT-T that's legally registered for road-driving in the United States.
