Drivers Adore the 2012 Nissan Versa

Here at Randy Reed Nissan, we consider the Nissan Versa to be one of the most impressive vehicles in our current lineup, due to its fantastic features, including: high fuel economy ratings, excellent value, and huge cargo and cabin space.

The new 2012 Nissan Versa has been crushing its competitors when it comes to sales numbers. The Versa's sales were almost twice that of some of its opponents in December 2011 (including the Chevy Sonic, the Hyundai Accent, the Toyota Yaris, the Honda Fit, the Fiat 500, and the Ford Fiesta). In fact, the Versa held over 24 percent of its segment share, which includes thirteen models overall. The four-door 1.8 SL hatchback has a starting price of $18,490 and gets 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The base hatchback has a starting price of $14,480, and the base sedan has an surprisingly low MSRP of $10,990.

Al Casti, Vice President and GM of Nissan North America explains what might attract drivers to the Versa, stating, "The new Versa Sedan has hit a sweet spot with sub-compact buyers, offering the most legroom, most headroom and most trunk room per dollar, along with the lowest starting M.S.R.P. in America of just $10,990 USD. It's great to be the vehicle that everyone is chasing - though with standard Versa Sedan innovations such as its dual injector system that burns cleaner and uses less fuel than a conventional injector design, and its smooth, efficient next-generation continuously variable transmission, we don't foresee the gap closing anytime soon."1
